When I create my illustrations, I usually start by gathering as much reference as possible from the place I’m drawing. I want to understand the mood, the small details, and what makes it unique. From there, I sketch a rough layout, which I gradually build on adding characters, then color, and finally the finer details. It’s a process of layering, and it helps me bring the scene to life in a way that feels both real and playful. Thanks to procreate app on my ipad, the process become very easy for me.
Here are some details from an illustration I’ve been working on over the past month. It’s been a really fun project, and I’m now adding the final touches.
